Rumours

Monday, June 4th, 2007

Well, there have been rumours circulating around recently concerning about deck quality. It is said that some chinese manufacturers uses only two plys of Canadian maple in their boards although they claim they are 7-ply canadian maple.
There is a clear difference in the wood grains of the canadian maple and chinese maple.  The grains are […]

Gifts from Rupert Rage/Black Brigade

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

If you didn’t know, I designed some skateboards for Phe William, the owner of Rupert Rage sometime ago. It was for his upcoming Pop Pop Skateboards.
Here is the ad.

I designed a few more but they did not have space to squeeze them in.
In return for the designs and photos, he sent me four decks, two […]

My first vert…

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

I finally dropped in on my very first, vert ramp
Skating the Taman Batu Metropolitan that is in KL, 4 hours away from home. Listening to the sound of urethane and concrete. Then, my past fear came to mind…’The Halfpipe’! I have told myself a few time to just drop that damn thing, but have been […]

New Putrajaya Challenge Park

Friday, December 15th, 2006

Hurray! According to Padin of SK8Climax, the Putrajaya Skatepark project is alive! I gave some suggestions on Climax Forever forum. Let me paste it here because it took me freaking long to type in Bahasa Malaysia. Oh TUHAN. Baru realise. Padin, tolong, TOLONG memastikan bowl, vert, quarter pipe, kicker, spine, bank dan lain-lain dibuat atau […]

Coca-cola or Pop-Pop Cola Skateboard

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

This is a rather clear rip-off from the Coca-Cola Company logo. But I made this design for my local skateboard product distributor for a slight chance to print it on a deck. Pop-pop is just another branch off the Rupert Rage tree along with other skate brands like Cool Element and Black Brigade.

This is what I got in the mail today
Skull Waves
You asked for it, you got it. A more aggressive 64mm wheel. Like our 62mm wheel, the 64mm wheel is a bit wider than most available on the market today, and features a little rounder shape than most others as well. Easy to get on […]

Request

Saturday, September 16th, 2006

Ben says: How many skateparks are there in Penang? Can you write something about them? I hope to visit Penang during the year end holidays.
Well Ben, there is currently only one legit “skatepark” here in little Penang. It is made of concrete and is located at the Municipal Park a.k.a. Youth Park. It is somewhere […]

Hot wheels

Tuesday, August 1st, 2006

Check out this link call Hot wheels from Time Magazine. They have 9 photos of skateboarding from 1965 until now.
The picture of Tony Alva on the full pipe is just so awsome. Tony Alva is from Venice, California during the glory days of the Z-Boys and he was a part of the team. Pool […]

Reason why to not cut your griptape while on your board

Sunday, July 23rd, 2006

My friend broke his board one day.
After further examination by me, I found that it broke exactly on a line he cut on his griptape.

He cut a line through his grip to accomodate a sticker.

As you can see on the picture below, the deep cut in the deck weakened that part and it cracked right […]

Mont Kiara Dibuka dan Ditutup Semula

Monday, July 17th, 2006

Mont Kiara Skatepark is officially CLOSED after a short period of opening.
Here you can see clearly the notice that was stuck ALL around the skatepark.

At least i got to skate the WHOLE skatepark without a guard chasing us around. It was my lucky day. We just arrived at the main gate and we just drove […]
