Mont Kiara Skatepark opening 3rd July 2006

This just in, Mont Kiara Grand Opening will be on Third July Two Thousand Six 03/07/06. The sad thing is that I can’t be there when that happens. I gotta be in school. There will be a competition and skateboard demo held there. There is a motel or hostel or whatever you wanna call it in the same compound as the skatepark.Just a 3 minutes walk away. There is also 3-5 rock climbing walls there. Just can’t wait for my next trip to Kuala Lumpur.

Located at Mount Kiara, near the Equestrian club. (go to PUSAT SAINS NEGARA, its on the left)

I took some pics the last time I was there when the park wasn’t open yet. See it here.

Hi, as of now, it is OFICIALLY open to public. But it closes at 7 pm. It is not mentioned by anyone that you must pay. So most probally not YET.

Because you see, facilities like this need mantainence and security. And this need cash. And cash does not grow on trees.

Oh yeah, you should also check http://www.sk8climax.com/main/main.htm

    Good Luck!

I go here almost everyday that I have free. Great venue, small shop with drinks, food, security guards and there is always nice people there. Not to mention the skate park is awesome. But in a few areas, it needs a bit of maintenance.

Any age group is allowed in ive seen kids under 10 in the skate park.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY but you have to sign in and out.
I’m not sure why, but I’ve been going here for 2 years and i haven’t needed to pay ONCE.
im pretty sure they get all of there cash from the small shop that’s there

You can use pretty much and self propelled thing you want at the skate park but NO motor vehicles or anything.

As for classes, my friend used to take them but you have to find a teacher first. I’ve only seen it once before, and that was my friend.

Any more questions, just ask me :)
